About Our Client
Our client is one of the leading consumer durable companies in the world with an innovative range of products. They are widely regarded as pioneers in the space and have a strong presence across various channels in India. Having aggressive growth plans in place, they are currently looking to onboard a Sales Leader with a pan India scope of responsibility.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for:
Strategic relations: Managing business for the company and building relationships with key personnel across all channels
Understanding of network penetration, network mapping besides understanding of financial value chains and profit drivers
Tight Budget Controls: Responsibility to ensure that every penny spent delivers a solid return on investment and is spent in a way the builds the long term sustainability of the brand.
Creative Business Development: Must develop unique ways to grow the business with the customer and provide solutions to management in the face of challenges.
Thorough Business Planning: Likely manage a complex business with so many of SKUs in hundreds of points of sale across the country. To do a planning is complex & have to be executed flawlessly and achieve the business plans.
In Touch With the Retail Reality: Understanding of retail practices in India - including the ability to "walk the street". Must be completely aware of what is transpiring at customers stores. There must be feeling a sense of ownership of the execution in every store.
In-Depth Product / Brand Knowledge: The intimate knowledge of the brands, their values, positioning, target consumers and personality.
Team Management: Team leader, setting direction, monitoring team's performance and guiding the team to achieve set targets for the team
The Successful Applicant
15+ years of experience in Sales and Business development or Category Management preferably in White Goods or Household Appliance industry with a proven record of application of following competencies : Planning and Organizing, Negotiation skills , Effective Communication, Problem Solving and Decision-Making, Strategic Thinking, Analytical Skills. The incumbent must have strong knowledge of MS office tools (PowerPoint at advanced level, Excel - experience with pivot tables, basic formulas, macros, look-up functions) besides excellent communication skills in person, written, over telephone and email.
Must be able to work independently without close supervision and on own initiative and be able to work under pressure in a results oriented environment. The person must be able to travel across India and the role will involve developing business across multi channels. Excellent team management skills and ability to drive a cross functional team to deliver excellence is a must.
